The Intuos4 Wireless has an active area of 203 x 127 mm. The tablet is roughly the size of a laptop and therefore the ideal portable tablet for professionals. This is the first professional tablet from Wacom that can be used wireless (Bluetooth). Comes with GripPen.

2048 pressure levels
The 2048 levels of pressure sensitivity (compared to 1024 in older Intuos models) and the new Wacom Tip Sensor together provide unsurpassed pen control and sensitivity. Now with 2048 levels of pressure-sensitivity on the pen tip and eraser, the Intuos4 allows you to even more finely control software tools like exposure, brush width, eraser size, and opacity by changing how hard you press the pen to the tablet surface.

Minimum activation pressure less than 1g.
Compared to older models having 10g of activation pressure, the Intuos4's 1g of activation pressure means that the tablet can sense the pen with the smallest of pressures, making your work more precise.

Precision Mode
The new Precision Mode function enabled through an ExpressKey provides you with improved pixel-level control by 'zooming in' to the area worked on so that you can work precisely on areas that require it.

Tool ID
The software recognizes which Intuos4 tool (e.g. pen) is being used and the settings for that tool - every input device has its unique ID and every user can customize his own Intuos4 tools and the Intuos4 tablet always knows which tool is used. (Feature is dependent on software package supporting this feature - professional packages like Abobe Photoshop and Corel Painter do so. Check your software documentation for details if in doubt.)

Tilt
All Intuos4 tablets and pens recognize tilt angles of up to 60° - important for realistic paintbrush simulation and the creative use of controllable tool tip width.

Display Toggle
The display toggle offers increased flexibility in multiple monitor environments and allows you to easily switch between screens

New design - for use by right and left-handers
The new, thin, ergonomic design can be used by both left and right handed users. Simply turn the tablet which way you prefer and specify the setting in the tablet driver on your computer. This also eliminates the risk of activating the ExpressKeys accidentally with the hand holding the pen.

Optimized surface texture
The Intuos4 surface texture enables smooth, consistent strokes even over long periods of time.

Optimized Grip Pen
The Intuos4 has a cushioned, ergonomic pen with the look and feel of an elegant writing tool for maximum comfort and control and is specially designed for balance when holding and ease of eraser use. Also features a colour-coded identity ring to allow you to see immediately which pen is which if you are using more than one. Comes packaged with four different types of nib.

Pen Stand
The pen stand also acts as a holder for pen nibs and a nib extractor. This is a simple, convenient, functional, and attractive storage location - no more searching for your spare nibs!

ExpressKeys and TouchRing
The tablet has eight programmable ExpressKeys. There is also a TouchRing that can be programmed with four functions; you can toggle between these four functions with the button in the middle of the Touch-Ring. The use of the ExpressKeys and TouchRing makes functions like scrolling, zooming, brush size, canvas rotation, and layer selection easy to access. Each ExpressKey has an OLED icon next to it that shows you which function it performs, and the TouchRing has four LED indicators to show which function is currently toggled on. Note that the OLED icons appear correctly orientated no matter which way up (left or right-handed) you use the tablet. Also, by clicking one of the ExpressKeys, you can see at a glance onscreen a more detailed listing of how you have customized the keys and ring.

Radial Menu
A fast, easy-to-use customizable menu capability to effectively manage custom functions. Just hit the radial menu ExpressKey and you see onscreen a radial menu, a circle divided into eight slices. Each slice represents a customizable function - you can even nest menus by allocating a submenu to one or more slices.

Cable Routing
The USB cable is detachable and can be attached at either the top or the bottom of the tablet side, allowing flexible mobility and configuration
